Spiritual Harm & Abuse Scale (SHAS) Clinical Screener
The Spiritual Harm & Abuse Scale (SHAS) is a 27-item self-report inventory capturing both exposure to potentially spiritually abusive experiences in Christian church or group settings and common internal responses to such experiences. It was published in May of 2022 in the Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion. It contains six sub-scales and 11 additional "critical items" that are of potential interest to clinicians.
